Who You Are:

The Twitter Employee Communications and Culture team is looking for an experienced internal/employee communications professional to partner with the HR function. The role is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies for key company-wide people initiatives, programs, and announcements.

The Sr. Manager Employee Communications will work with stakeholders in HR and Global Marketing & Communications to understand, guide and promote Twitter’s employee value proposition and culture through various communication channels. The role will be responsible for powerful writing and compelling storytelling through internal communications content and plans.

This position is located in San Francisco at Twitter’s headquarters. May require periodic travel.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement communication plans to support short-term and long-term people initiatives and drive desired behaviors across the company

  • Act as the consultative communications partner to the HR organization and leadership team

  • Identify the “voice” of the HR organization and leadership team

  • Work closely with the Global Communications team to identify and execute the best mix of communications channels and messaging styles to disseminate content across the company

  • Write and edit content messages

  • Manage multiple communications projects at once

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders; define their communication requirements and provide them with strategic advice and counsel

  • Develop a good understanding of the business' people goals and audiences, and translate that knowledge into clear and compelling communications

  • Measure the effectiveness of communications delivered; implement improvements

Requirements:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or Communications

  • 7-8 years of work experience in internal communications/employee communications and/or change communications - working in a high-tech and global organization is key

  • Experience as a communications business partner to the HR function

  • A brilliant verbal communicator and highly creative writer experienced in crafting compelling messaging and narratives

  • Possess top-notch interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels within the organization, including senior management, with focus, energy, and passion

  • Experience in writing and editing in digital and print mediums

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, able to set own priorities, and work under deadline pressure

  • Ability to project manage communication plans

  • Ability to plan, create, and execute written and verbal communications

  • Dynamic, charismatic, confident communicator with proven ability to work cross-functionally, exerting influence without direct authority

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proactive, results-oriented, and fun!
