Ads Innovation is a team of full-stack engineers passionate about Twitter, with deep expertise in frontend, backend, iOS, and Android. We experiment and iterate quickly, and focus on the high-impact impact solutions for Twitter and businesses. We are the engine of innovation for brands and businesses at Twitter, and we are growing rapidly in San Francisco.

 

At Twitter, we believe that good system designs require collaboration so that the end result is simple yet sophisticated. We also promote openness by contributing to open source and sharing our data through Twitter’s API (learn more here - https://dev.twitter.com/ads/overview). Our team sizes are kept small to encourage big contributions from each team member and promote meaningful collaboration. Our technology stack is mainly based on Scala and Java on the backend and Javascript, CSS, HTML on the frontend. We are mobile, with deep iOS and Android experience.

Requirements:

  • Deep experience shipping large-scale iOS applications
  • Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background
  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
  • Experience with software engineering practices (e.g., unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience in mobile video-related technologies
  • Data-informed product development experience (e.g., analytics, A/B testing)
  • Prior experience working for a consumer Internet company

Engineering Hiring Process

Step 1

Once your application is received, a recruiter will reach out pending your qualifications are a match for the role.

Step 2

If your background is a match, you may have 1-2 technical phone interviews or be given the chance to provide a work sample depending on the role.

Step 3

If the phone interviews go well or your work sample is strong, the final step includes interviews with 5-6 people held onsite in our office.
