Software Engineer (Front End)

We are the Business Analytics and Application Development team. We are a small team of top talented people from all over the world with a mission; we build awesome web applications to make internal Twitter teams more productive and effective. We are based out of Twitter HQ in the beautiful San Francisco.

 

What You'll do:

  • Build effective internal tools for drive effectiveness of the internal teams

  • Build interactive dashboards and data viz to surface insights, results of analysis at scale

  • Design seamless user experience and build effective user interactions

  • Work closely with other team members to build great products together.

 

Who You Are:  

  • You are an expert using front-end technology to build products (JavaScript, HTML/CSS)

  • Are passionate for making beautiful and delightful web experiences

  • You are curious, looking to go deeper into the backend stack and learn new things

  • Ability to take on complex problems, learn quickly, and persist towards a good solution

 

Requirements:

  • BS/MS Computer Science or similar work experience

  • A strong technical background coding in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Proven experience building great solutions using web technology

  • Experience working closely across a variety of teams including product management, designers, and backend engineers

  • A dedicated and enthusiastic approach to solving problems

  • A detailed approach to writing tests and quality assurance

 

Earn bonus points with:

  • Experience with technologies used in the rest of our stack: Node JS and/or PHP

  • Experience with user interface and user experience design

Engineering Hiring Process

Step 1

Once your application is received, a recruiter will reach out pending your qualifications are a match for the role.

Step 2

If your background is a match, you may have 1-2 technical phone interviews or be given the chance to provide a work sample depending on the role.

Step 3

If the phone interviews go well or your work sample is strong, the final step includes interviews with 5-6 people held onsite in our office.
