Social Strategist

Twitter is seeking a passionate Social Strategist​ to join our team. This person will play an integral role as we scale our corporate social media and community engagement strategy.  A member of the Live Studio team, this community manager will educate, elevate, and delight our users on and off platform with dynamic and relevant content.  With a mix of empathy and energy, this person will help deliver the Twitter voice to the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage @Twitter’s robust audience with dynamic, relevant content. Identify what’s trending to connect with culture and our community.

  • Ideate and activate Live at the speed of Twitter.

  • Schedule, develop and post content across Twitter’s O&O channels.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize assets, monitor Twitter trends, and make real-time editorial recommendations to attract and retain users.

  • Help brainstorm ideas for Twitter’s content calendar and campaigns

  • Monitor and respond to comments on Twitter’s global social media platforms.

  • Assist in generating Twitter’s analytics reports and synthesizing data into actionable insights.

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure brand and content consistency, developing tools, templates and processes to facilitate improvement and adherence to guidelines

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, effective tools, and changes in the social media landscape.

  • Work with the Creative Studio to create engaging assets (photos,GIFs, videos, etc.)

  • Manage content and community engagement during live events.

  • Run the NYC war room during live events and activations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years’ experience in social media, delivering smart and effective content  

  • You care about what’s happening in the world and stay connected to culture.

  • You know how the meme started, laugh out loud from the perfect GIF response, and are adept at speaking in emoji.

  • The ability to operate, execute and make informed decisions in a fast paced environment.

  • Wit of the 140 character kind.

  • Highly detailed and organized; project management experience a plus

  • A passion for process and plans, but the ability to thrive in an incredibly fast paced environment

  • Proficiency in social media management and publishing platforms and listening tools such as Spredfast and Crimson Hexagon

  • Both a strategic thinker and a tactical executor, with a roll-up-your-sleeves bias for action and an ability to drive detailed execution

  • Experience with social media analytics tools and able to leverage data to evaluate channel success from strategic, brand, communication, and business perspectives
