Senior Business Development Manager, Business Messaging

Twitter is seeking a “Senior Business Development Manager, Business Messaging” who will be responsible for the success of new and existing customer service and messaging partnerships through alignment of Twitter Products with partners and market demand. Yours will be an essential role to help us build one of the fastest moving parts of our revenue business, as well as grow Twitter’s impact in the rapidly evolving business messaging space. You’ll help define our strategy and execution as it relates to customer service, chatbots, and the future of brand engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Driving Product Adoption and Revenue through Partnerships

    • Build strong relationships with key partners and develop in-depth understanding of partner products, business lines and key objectives.

    • Structure and negotiate revenue producing outcomes between Twitter and Partners at appropriate stages of product adoption and maturity

    • Drive new products and services through internal Twitter cycles to meet partner demands.

  • Partnering for Joint Products

    • Understand our developer & API products (including our recently announced DM APIs and “bot” guidelines) and corresponding customers of those products

    • Develop strategies for product adoption, growth in the partner ecosystem and new revenue lines

    • Interact with partners and customers to identify market demand for specific products or services, and prioritize based on impact.

    • Work closely with appropriate Twitter sales, channel, product, support, finance teams to build joint partner solutions and go to market strategy.

    • Support creation of new products or services to support businesses in leveraging Twitter.
       

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant Business Development experience, MBA, Law degree or similar post-graduate degree preferred

  • Infectious passion for Twitter with a clear understanding of social data ecosystem.

  • Strong familiarity with common enterprise software suites that relate to Twitter including marketing automation, CRM and messaging.

  • Proven experience driving large groups of internal stakeholders to consensus and close for technical partnerships/deals.

  • Experience independently negotiating and closing strategic partner deals, including partnerships that require deep sales and product integrations between companies.  

  • Sharp strategic thinker who can design and execute on a vision.  History of running quickly with little supervision. Ability to adapt to and lead through fast-paced, high-growth, uncertain environments.  

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.  Ability to speak fluently to senior executives, salespeople and product managers.
