Sales Operations Manager, MoPub

The Sales Operations team at Twitter partners with Global Sales and Product teams to drive revenue, craft and execute sales strategy and manage all internal systems to drive productivity at scale.  Members of the operations team focus on initiatives and projects that set to achieve the above objectives.

As a Sales Operations Manage for MoPub, a Twitter company, you will serve as a key member of the MoPub team to drive creation & execution of quarterly and annual business plans, define & scale business processes, and design & measure KPIs to accelerate go-to-market speed and growth. In your role you will also take up a broad spectrum of special projects ranging from designing resource allocation models, supporting strategic business development deals to managing rollout, maintenance, and reporting of new sales enhancement process/platforms and tools. You will work very closely with senior leaders in the MoPub Commercial, Product and Eng teams to quickly understand issues and implement solutions.

 The ideal candidate is a self-starter, independent thinker, deeply analytical and detailed-oriented, but capable of working in a structured manner to thrive in ambiguity. You do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves, slicing and dicing massive sets of information, and creating solutions to problems that have not been tackled yet. How does success in this role look like?:

  • Deeply embed with the MoPub team and become the operations backbone for those teams.

  • Be highly proactive to effectively and quickly drive initiatives across the org

  • Communicate effectively to MoPub leadership on team successes, challenges, and execution plans for solving challenges

  • Create innovative, data-driven strategies to promote operations objectives

  • Co-lead significant short- and long-term efforts contributing to the overall growth, org productivity, and ultimately profitability of MoPub and Twitter

  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders in the Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Accounting,  and other support organizations critical to maintaining or developing long-term relationships with key brands
     

Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytical frameworks, tools, and techniques to plan, communicate, and execute short and longer term business strategies

  • Work with cross functional partners (Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, HR) to ensure successful execution of key projects

  • Help identify opportunities to improve business efficiencies and lead efforts to scale best practices across MoPub

  • Participate and help steer global initiatives

  • Develop, manage & report on key business metrics

  • Conduct strategic market insights including competitive landscape analysis to help formulate go to market plans

  • Actively participate in creating quarterly business reviews with Sales and Product leadership

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a business context or digital marketing industry

  • Analytical thinker and structured problem solver

  • Experience working with sales and strategy operations function with similar needs and job function

  • Experience researching and manipulating large data sets

  • Strong working knowledge and skills in spreadsheet and presentation software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfort working in ambiguity with a bent towards fast execution and iteration

  • Exceptional project management and execution skill set

  • Management consulting or investment banking experience a big plus

  • Industry experience in ad tech is a big plus

  • Technical skills: Competence with SQL or any other form of database querying language

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent with specialization in marketing, finance, business, MIS, or related field of study.

  • Bonus: Knowledge of complex analytical packages including, but not limited to, Python, R, or Stata.
