Media Innovation Specialist

As a Media Innovation Specialist on the Global Content Partnerships team at Twitter, you will play a major role in future of how our biggest media partners will use the product in the years to come.  The person in this role will work on high profile executions with the biggest TV networks, sports leagues, celebrities and digital creators from around the world and have a knack for thinking up the next big thing that partners didn't even know they needed.

 

You will serve as a trusted creative advisor to our partners, helping them maximize the impact of their Twitter usage and the money they can make from publishing content on the platform.  You will work with Partner Managers around the world to better understand their needs when it comes to innovation and the needs of their partners. You will design ground-breaking, unique executions that can be packaged up and repeated by other partners.

 

Your day to day will range from meeting with partners gathering requirements and providing project updates, canvassing potential ecosystem partners to understand their technology, and joining brainstorm meetings with the partner managers to identify gaps and opportunities that we can help solve with creativity and innovation.

 

Time Breakdown:

 

  • 30% Teammates:  You will be working w/ teammates across the globe to better understand their needs when it comes to innovation and helping manage complex, large-scale projects.

 

  • 35% Customers:  You will spend time in the room with our customers to hear from them what they are looking for from our platform and help bring our ideas to life.

 

  • 20% Internal Partnership:  You are one of our conduits to product, engineering and other teams internally. If there is something being built at Twitter that we should know about, your team is on it. You bring new offerings to the larger team and inform us of the latest new things at Twitter.

 

  • 15% Partner Ecosystem Development:  You will be working with ecosystem partners to develop technology solutions that scale. You have to convince third parties to partner with us and create mutually beneficial solutions that will benefit both parties.

Qualifications Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in social media.

  • A solid understanding of the social media landscape including Twitter and its competitors.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally in a deadline in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project Management: Understanding of program management best practices and ability to put those into practice.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to structure solutions to complex and undefined issues, deep analytical ability and polished business acumen

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across multiple internal disciplines Business Tools such as Powerpoint, Keynote, Excel

  • Understanding of video and ad technologies a plus.

  • BA/BSc degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant experience).
