Head of GCP Entertainment, North America
Head of GCP Entertainment, North America
As the head of Entertainment in North America for Twitter’s Global Content Partnerships team, you will be tasked with partnering with peers around the globe in setting a successful strategic vision for the vertical.
This means working across geographies to identify opportunities, overcome obstacles and empowering the team to increase revenue, reach and innovation on Twitter via Entertainment partnerships. Partners include TV networks, movie studios, streaming services, syndicators, producers, academies and others.
This will be a true “player/coach” role, with the candidate supervising US/Canada Partner Managers, while also personally leading a select few top partner relationships.
As the North America lead, you’ll oversee staffing, compensation and promotions for your team. You will conduct 1-1 meetings with direct reports, report to the Global Director/Entertainment consistently, lead the NA Entertainment weekly meeting, own forecasting and revenue targets, attend partner events and play a role in cross-functional projects. You’ll be tasked with understanding the competitive landscape, sharing learnings and acting on opportunities and challenges. You’ll seek inspiration from other regions and verticals. You will foster a culture of positivity, innovation, experimentation and super-serving partners.
Historically, our team has worked in geographic silos. As the Head of Entertainment in North America, you will be breaking down these silos through over-communication. Once the Entertainment strategy and narrative is finalized, you will ensure local market optimization for North America, meaning that if an approach makes sense in one market but not another, that’s OK. You will need to balance global consistency with local market entrepreneurship. Success here means you are communicating across geographies, scaling deals and processes and learning from setbacks.
You will also own a few select partner relationships. Acting as the Partner Manager here, you will bring revenue and creative opportunities to these partners, train their sales and marketing teams, build relationships with their senior leadership team, own the contract process and see campaigns through from ideation through post-sale. You will understand these partners’ content offerings and business challenges, with the aim of driving revenue via Amplify Open and Custom. At the same time, we’ll seek continued innovation with these partners and ensure they’re utilizing our platform successfully.
