Financial Analyst, Sales Finance - Tokyo

Twitter operates in 40+ offices globally. You will be a key member of the leadership team in Sales Finance working closely with partners around Twitter.

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance and across the company

  • Relate financial performance to advertiser needs and provide compelling cases for action to senior sales management

  • Design, develop & deliver robust and scalable reports for the Twitter Sales team

  • Be personable, approachable and able to connect with each and every person on the team and throughout the business

What You'll Do:

In this position, you will provide critical financial support and tools to grow and scale Twitter’s ads business. We need someone to:

  • You will partner with senior Sales, Ops and Finance leadership to create revenue growth plans, establish financial and operating targets and determine optimal resource requirements

  • Use metrics and analytics to identify growth risks and opportunities and influence business partners to drive timely decision making

  • Use creativity to generate new ideas based on advertiser segmentation, LTV and retention analyses

  • Define data and reporting needs to provide revenue visibility to Sales and Finance partners

Who You Are:

  • You have master Excel, financial modeling, regression analysis, statistics skills

  • You can simplify huge data sets, complex problem sets and extract non-obvious insights with frameworks and analyses

  • Create meaningful presentations and analyses that tell a story focused on insights, not just data

  • Remain detail-oriented while working across a wide variety of projects


Requirements:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree with strong academic record
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of work experience
  • You have demonstrated experience writing SQL queries and pulling data from relational databases
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners
  • Superior Excel financial modeling skills and proficient PowerPoint skills
  • You possess a demonstrable grasp of Twitter, mobile (i.e., device and carrier markets), web and media markets
  • You are knowledgeable in the digital ad space; knowledge of social media a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; fluency in Japanese and English is a requirement.
