Ads Policy Operations Specialist - Tokyo



The Policy Operations team is charged with keeping Twitter free of illegal, fraudulent, or otherwise undesirable promoted content through effective and scalable enforcement of Twitter’s advertising policies.


We’re looking for a driven, experienced individual to help define and lead these enforcement efforts in Japan across a rapidly-expanding base of advertisers.



  • Develop processes to scale the enforcement of ads policies across Twitter’s revenue products

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to develop tools to identify and surface risky activity such as policy violations and fraud

  • Collaborate with Twitter’s Ads Policy and Legal teams to understand risk exposure and develop enforcement workflows that will mitigate this risk while enabling revenue

  • Provide front-line policy support for the Japan Sales team, helping customers achieve their goals in a safe environment

  • Thoroughly and efficiently investigate ads and advertisers that may violate policy, and where appropriate, provide guidance on getting violations back under compliance

  • Work directly with senior management in Japan to identify and drive policy and operational improvements in market

  • Liaise with the Ad Review team to ensure smooth execution of enforcement processes, quality monitoring, and SLA adherence

  • Develop reports and analyses that lead to actionable insights to improve process, unlock revenue, and ensure quality



  • 3-5 years experience in scaling hyper growth operational support programs

  • English & Japanese language fluency, spoken and written

  • Experience in partnering with Product and Engineering to build scalable solutions

  • Ability to work productively in a fast moving, cross-functional environment

  • Detail-oriented, focused, and self-motivated

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Confident using data to make decisions

  • Experience using SQL, Tableau or other technical reporting tools a plus

  • ​Experience in Risk, Policy or Compliance roles a plus
