Who We Are

The Twitter EPM IT Team is looking for a seasoned Oracle EPM Architect to help lead solution design for our Oracle EPM footprint. 

Our team is in charge of implementing and maintaining applications to support Accounting, FP&A and the larger Finance organization to meet their operational needs. We are responsible for establishing processes for continual improvement, guiding administration, and partnering with our stakeholders on a project-to-project basis. Our mission is to keep our business running effectively while maintaining a healthy and secure application environment.

The Position

What You’ll Do

You’ll act as the technology lead in the Oracle EPM IT Team, driving application strategy, solution design and project implementation for our global Finance stakeholders. You will interact with a variety of stakeholders in IT, Finance and other teams located across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate projects and analyze the short and long-term impacts of various tactical options. Translate business strategy to Oracle EPM innovative solutions and roadmaps while having accountability for outcomes, including related measures, metrics, and dashboards.

  • Ability to solve company wide issues or provide solutions for broad, complex org and company wide architectural challenges. 

  • Leader in coding and configuration skills, application knowledge across the EPM engineering team.

  • Define development guidelines and best practices. Set the example by conducting thorough code reviews, ensuring standards for code quality, reusability of code and unit testing.

  • Responsible for solution governance, managing technical debt, and ensuring high reuse of common features.

  • Stay current with technological developments within the Oracle EPM and Essbase platforms, monitoring and planning for the organization to utilize new release functionality as it becomes available.

  • Mentor and guide engineers by example.

  • Identify solutions and design high-quality architecture that aligns technology with business needs and are consistent with enterprise technology standards. 

  • Identify emerging technology and trends. 

  • Shepherd and write comprehensive design documents from ideation to development. 

  • Drive and recommend technology radar and adoption in the group. 

  • Drive development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for new applications. A steward for security, data privacy and performance.

  • Ability to solve company wide issues or provide solutions for broad, complex org and company wide architectural challenges.

  • Provides significant contribution to defining Twitter's IT applications implementation and integration strategy.

  • Use your expertise to plan, lead and deliver complex and diverse work, projects, and programs that positively impact multiple teams/services.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working with Oracle EPM / Hyperion technologies designing, leading and developing complex, secure, scalable, integrated implementations. 

  • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle EPM Cloud.

  • Deep expertise designing and developing Essbase BSO, ASO and hybrid cubes.

  • Deep understanding and experience in metadata management strategy via DRM and/or EDMCS.

  • Experience leading a minimum of 5 full Oracle EPM Cloud lifecycle implementations across forecasting and consolidations.

  • Ability and passion for implementing and championing cloud infrastructure best practices in relation to security, privacy and compliance. Experience implementing externally audited applications required.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex, scalable Oracle EPM Cloud automations and data integrations. Solid understanding of upstream and downstream data sources such as ERP, HR systems, etc. is required. 

  • Deep understanding / experience in the following Oracle EPM Cloud products: Planning Cloud (PBCS/EPBCS), FCCS, PCMCS, Narrative Reporting, EDMCS, ARCS, Smart View. 

  • Strategic Modeling implementation experience highly desired. 

  • EPM/Hyperion certifications preferred but not required.

  • Solid understanding in financial business processes supported by EPM.

  • Extensive experience with proven ability to learn and embrace and champion new technologies, applications, and solutions.

  • Proven experience leading EPM implementations in accordance with various project management methodologies. 

  • Track record of proven good architectural design decisions that influences multiple systems.

  • Solid multi-tasking, time management & organization skills with the ability to lead multiple and often changing priorities as well as the ability to adapt to changing business requirements. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support system design and documentation, and stakeholder/cross functional collaboration including technical and non technical audiences. 

  • Ability to handle difficult issues in a constructive way

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting or equivalent experience.

The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 4 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Tier A: USD $212,000 - USD $297,000
  • Tier B: USD $202,000 - USD $282,000
  • Tier C: USD $191,000 - USD $267,000
  • Tier D: USD $179,000 - USD $253,000

This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
