The Position

About our Global Content Partnerships team

The Global Content Partnerships (GCP) team's mission is to help professional content creators participate in, and benefit from, what's happening on Twitter. The team works with professional content creators including media companies and rights holders, individual Creators, and production companies.

The Global Content Partnerships Sales (GCPS) team is the sales strategy and enablement arm for GCP. GCPS is focused on creating a durable business across both of our revenue lines, Amplify Sponsorships and Amplify Pre-roll, where we're helping our advertisers align with premium content through partnerships with all of our managed professional content creators. Our Sr. Manager, Content Sales, for Japan will work across Sports, News, Entertainment and Creators as well as our key agency partners in the market to identify the largest strategic sales opportunities, assess demand from advertisers, and then collaborate to create, market, and sell Amplify Sponsorships and Pre-roll.

What You'll Do

  • Accountable for Amplify revenue targets in Japan

  • Collaborate with local agency leadership to define, prioritize, package, and market Sponsorship opportunities

  • Collaborate with local GCP leadership to define, prioritize, package, and market Sponsorship opportunities

  • Standardize pricing across agencies and publisher Amplify Sponsorship opportunities in Japan

  • Collaborate with Sales, Strategy & Operations, Revenue Product Specialists, and GCP leadership to understand advertiser demand at scale

  • Collaborate with other members of GCPS team in order to aid in import and export revenue from other markets, primarily Greater China

  • Train our sales team on priority Amplify Sponsorship programs and Amplify Pre-roll content developments

  • Regularly attend in-person client and agency meetings for priority Amplify opportunities

  • Create and maintain the primary internal marketing channels for Amplify, including weekly newsletter and/or other internal resources

  • Conduct regular meetings with regional Global Content Partnerships leads to share knowledge, processes, and updates coming from other markets


What Success Looks Like

  • Revenue growth across Amplify Sponsorships and Amplify Pre-roll in Japan

  • Demand-led content prioritization for our biggest agency and publisher partnerships

  • A standardized format and approach for how we package and price in Japan

  • Increased sell through rate for Amplify in Japan

  • Seamless cross-functional collaboration between GCP, Finance, Sales, Revenue Product Specialists, and Marketing teams

  • Clear articulation of Twitter's Amplify value proposition in market

  • Supporting Agency and GCP leadership by streamlining program marketing

Who You Are

  • Passionate about Twitter and our value proposition for premium publishers and advertisers!

  • Someone who embodies all of our GCPS operating principles

  • 5-7 years of experience in media, advertising, technology, and/or sales

  • A leader with strong sales and influencing skills

  • Superior presenter and communicator

  • History of working effectively cross-functionally

  • A self starter comfortable navigating ambiguity

  • Experience and understanding of media buying and media planning

  • Experience working on large content partnerships with contractual complexities and restrictions

  • A strong understanding of the digital video landscape

  • Fluent in English and Japanese
