Backend Software Engineer - Ads Foundation - Ads Traffic Quality

The Ads Foundation Engineering team has an incredibly large part to play in the company's ambitious goal to hit $10b in total revenue and we’re looking to grow our Engineering teams across the internal pillars to help drive our internal execution, vision, culture and fun. We are looking for partners to help scale the org; to be principled, engaging, and up-level teams.

The Position

Come help us scale our Ads Engineering Business of Infrastructure Revenue Platform and Foundations team. The overall team is growing at a rapid rate, and we expect significant growth as we continue to grow our revenue impact and product execution. You’ll have autonomy, ownership and impact.

A new team bootstrapped to own the defending of Twitter ads ecosystem and protect advertisers against invalid traffic. We work directly with policy team to take care of all regulations around monetization content in social media. Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with large scale distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages or prior experience in a JVM-based or functional programming language
  • Proven strengths in algorithms, complex data structures
  • Familiar with standard software engineering methodology, e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation
  • Willing to be periodically part of an out-of-hours on-call schedule (we’re flexible if you need to change times, but it’s about collectively supporting and owning services we create)
  • Growth mindset and a desire to learn, teach, and mentor
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field

    The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$191,000.00 - USD$267,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
    This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

    • Tier A: USD $212,000 - USD $297,000
    • Tier B: USD $202,000 - USD $282,000
    • Tier C: USD $191,000 - USD $267,000
    • Tier D: USD $179,000 - USD $253,000
