Who We Are
The Coordination team develops and operates highly-available foundational services that are used by almost every engineer at Twitter to build higher-level distributed applications. Our vision is to provide robust control plane infrastructure for Twitter that serves use cases such as distributed coordination, service discovery, topology management, and configuration management.
What You Will Do
As an Engineer in the Coordination team, you will build resilient, high-performance, and widely-used systems that power business-critical applications. You will develop services and libraries in Scala and Java, and tooling and automation in Python and Ruby. You will deploy and manage services on bare metal server fleets as well as container platforms such as Mesos and Kubernetes. You will learn and contribute to cutting-edge open-source technologies such as Finagle and ZooKeeper. You will be able to mentor some of the most promising engineers in the industry as well as learn from some of the most experienced engineers in the field. You will have the opportunity to improve team and company processes, set the standard for the quality of software delivery, and emphasize the importance of security and privacy.
