We are currently seeking a PR professional to help manage public communications for Twitter in the MENA region. The ideal candidate will have an interest in a broad range of topics in the region from sports to news and entertainment. We are looking for someone who has strong consumer and B2B related PR. This role reports directly into the Head of Communications for the region.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to MENA communication strategy and planning process by developing seasonal and topical ideas
  • Implement programs and campaigns, in conjunction with PR agencies and partners, that help drive both user and revenue growth
  • Coordinate with internal international teams around relevant localized data
  • Develop close relationships with key reporters / publications (especially in Saudi Arabia and Egypt)
  • Draft blog posts and Tweets as needed for announcements and updates
  • Identify relevant speaking opportunities and support incoming requests
  • Collaborate with the communications team in San Francisco and other country communications teams to ensure that local initiatives are consistent with the global strategy

Who you are:

  • 3 ­- 5 years experience in PR, communications or journalism
  • Excellent Arabic & English language skills (Spoken and Written)
  • You love Twitter and what it stands for
  • Ability to thrive in a fast­-paced environment
  • Knowledge in consumer technology and the latest trends
  • Strong media relations with business, lifestyle and technology press (specifically in Saudi Arabia and the UAE)
  • Flexible, amiable, a good colleague and collaborator
  • Social media management experience (preferable)
