Partner Engineer - Video Ecosystem

Twitter has built one of the fastest growing video businesses in the world and we’re looking for a Partner Engineer to join our talented team. You will be responsible for helping keep the ecosystem of partners building/launching new products and enabling the vision of our partners by working in collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.


A successful candidate will work closely with video ecosystem partners to provide technical guidance and help them implement Twitter's video solutions in a way that maximizes their investment in our platform, and in turn provides their customers with best-in-class Twitter integrations. In addition to working closely with ecosystem partners, this role also requires close coordination with Twitter product managers, engineering, marketing/events and partnerships teams.


You’ll be working with amazing companies from around the world and engaging with developers and product managers to make strategic integration work a reality. You’ll collaborate on the design of our developer experience for our Media APIs and advise on architecture. You’ll evangelize and support our platform through documentation, SDKs, sample code and detailed reporting and metrics. You’ll help partners troubleshoot issues and write and maintain reference implementations to accelerate time to market for our joint solutions.



Who You Are:


  • You are passionate about enabling partners and ecosystems
  • You can deeply understand complex code bases and troubleshoot technical issues from integration across APIs and backend services
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs with highly-scalable apps in production environments
  • Troubleshoot partner issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Serve as the voice of the partners around API issues and enhancement requests with Product Managers
  • Write documentation, drive community engagement and engage with the broader Twitter developer community
  • Previous experience working with video-centric companies in areas such as video encoders, video publishing and editing tools, consumer video products and video workflow solutions.
  • You are an avid user of Twitter who has real-world experience with how Twitter and Periscope video work.



Requirements:


  • A strong technical background and preferred experience working as part of partner or sales engineering teams
  • 2+ years of previous experience as software engineer, technical consultant or partner/sales engineer
  • Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
  • Understanding of API development and software development experience in at least one major language
  • Communication and business skills, ideally in presenting to both technical and business audiences
  • College Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)

Engineering Hiring Process

Step 1

Once your application is received, a recruiter will reach out pending your qualifications are a match for the role.

Step 2

If your background is a match, you may have 1-2 technical phone interviews or be given the chance to provide a work sample depending on the role.

Step 3

If the phone interviews go well or your work sample is strong, the final step includes interviews with 5-6 people held onsite in our office.
