Human Resources Business Partner, LATAM
Develops organization strategies for the Brazil region by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Builds connections to the business needs across multiple client groups to ensure global org effectiveness approaches that can ensure an impact on a large scale. Communicates the need, champions the approach, and partners cross-functionally.
Partners with client groups to anticipate and identify future challenges before they surface and solve for root causes.
Works together with other centers of excellence to launch initiatives and establish department accountabilities for employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and regional compliance and labor relations.
Partners with Senior Leadership to solve strategic organizational and people issues by orienting, training, developing and coaching managers and employees.
Ensures region is aligned with overall global business strategy and HR initiatives including compensation reviews, performance evaluations, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
Takes initiative in accomplishing special projects by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction to meet Regional Objectives and Global Targets.
Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and HR dashboards.
Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
Complies local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management and global HR counterparts on needed actions.
Enhances department and organization reputation by demonstrating ownership and a bias to yes for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the organization as a whole.
Regional Human Resources Lead Skills and Qualifications:
- 8 + years of experience in a generalist HR Function
- Proven record of strategic partnership with senior-level execs
- Experience in working in multinational environment -
- Must be comfortable working with minimum supervision
- Experience leading training & development initiatives
- Knowledge of managing across Latin America - understanding the intricacies of legal and cultural peculiarities
- Experience managing local labor issues and leading trade union negotiations
- Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Thought leader and strong team player - knows how to work in collaborative environments
- Fluent English & Spanish is a must;
- Must be willing to travel up to 30%
- University Degree or equivalent practical experience.
