We are a team changing Twitter one intern and new grad, at a time. As a member of the University Recruiting Team, you’ll have the support – and the responsibility – you need to make a difference on a grand scale.  As a Hype Tweep, you will be responsible for building and executing our campus engagement strategy from start to finish.


Launched in July, 2006, Twitter now has 320M active users. Headquartered in San Francisco, California we have a global presence of over 3,600 employees across 31 offices.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key contacts (e.g. deans, directors, professors, student and alumni representatives) to enhance Twitter’s presence at target universities or organizations

  • Develop and implement an engagement plan and recruiting strategies with assigned university institutions

  • Connect with students and school leadership on the Twitter platform

  • Maintain a constant and steady focus on recent Twitter activity and upcoming major events to highlight on campus

  • Coach and prepare Tweeps involved in outreach initiatives (e.g. select and confirm speakers and interviewers, review presentations)

  • Manage campus events onsite (e.g. information sessions, tech talks, interviews)

  • Maintain relationships and execute events with key external diversity organizations and groups on campus to cultivate a strong partnership and enhance the Twitter brand in the employment marketplace

  • Develop internal and external communication strategies and tools to increase awareness and attract top talent

  • Develop recommendations for improvement and drive new initiatives

  • Track, analyze, and report on metrics and effectiveness of our programs. Analyze new trends and share creative ideas

  • Track and own an ever-evolving budget for your respective universities

  • Communicate fearlessly to build trust; you will bring a strong perspective that inspires change and motivates to develop simple solutions to complex problems

Who You Are:

  • You are a super high energy individual with strong communications skills

  • You're comfortable pumping up/amping up/speaking in front of large groups and high volumes of students leading to meaningful one-on-one interactions

  • You have solid experience leading university programs and planning and executing on-campus events

  • You have a passion for creating excitement, curiosity and inspiration

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, rapid-growth, ambiguous, yet fun environment

  • You have a high willingness to learn

  • You are flexible and able to handle ambiguity with ease

  • You demonstrate capability of superior performance in a team environment

  • You have highly developed written and verbal communication skills

  • You are self-motivated, resilient and assertive

  • You are able to hunt down answers and drive solutions autonomously

  • You possess as strong presence and level of comfort engaging with team members of all levels

  • You successfully demonstrate capability for creative problem solving and solutioning

  • You have the ability to work with, and influence, a diverse swath of the organization (i.e. across function, level, location, etc.) and tailor communication based on the audience

  • You have a passion for always maintaining a high quality candidate experience

  • You have strong time-management skills and ability to multitask and maintain focus



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of work experience

Hiring Process
