Director - Head of Enterprise Data Management

Who we are:
Enterprise Data Management is tasked with enterprise ownership and management of the shared services data environments. This function will oversee the enterprise shared services environment and ensure enterprise wide adherence to the data lifecycle, privacy, security, and ultimately the data strategy. 

Who you are:
The Director and team will collaborate with engineering, legal, security, teams to create, centralize, categorize and prioritize data requirements and data implementations for the enterprise data warehouses and master data solutions. 

What You'll do:
In this role candidate will drive data management activities such as:

  • Manage the Enterprise Data Management organization and lead the team in realizing data management objectives

  • Accountable for data management best practices (e.g., requirements) and running data governance processes

  • Leads data roadmap and model discussions and development with engineering

  • Oversee and champion adherence to the data lifecycle and serve as the connection and facilitation between product data and the engineering organizations implementing the data lifecycle process, data quality, lineage and any other data management best practices.

  • Implement shared services data projects, delivering data requirements, data quality, data mapping and transformation, data migration and reconciliation and testing scenarios.

  • Oversee the collection, storage, maintenance and distribution of all shared services data and data solutions.

  • Conduct assessments of the shared services environments, champion continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation.

  • Ensure business operational execution of daily responsibilities for the following functional areas:

  • Data warehousing

  • Reference data Management

  • Customer Data Integration

  • Data migration and reconciliation

  • Data privacy & security


Experience

  • A minimum of 12 years data management/governance experience with a significant amount of experience leading data warehousing and/or data management projects

  • A minimum of 5 years in management/leadership role

  • Demonstrated success working on large complex projects with multiple cross functional stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of how to implement common data management / data governance processes

  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Vertica, MySQL databases and how they interact with data management tooling

  • Thorough understanding of data models, data relationships, mapping lineage

  • Experience managing a team with both operational and project responsibilities

  • Experience with data privacy and data security control enablement
