Sales Finance Manager, Japan (Tokyo)

Who We Are:

Sales Finance provides insight into Twitter’s business using financial models built on strong relationships.  We engage directly with both senior management and front-line sales to understand the drivers of Twitter’s revenue, and how to optimize that revenue.

What You'll Do:

In this position, you will provide critical financial support and tools to grow Twitter’s ads business in the Japan/Korea and broader APAC market. We need someone to:

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance and across the company

  • Use models and analytics to identify growth opportunities, influence business partners, and drive effective decision making

  • Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations and Legal teams to help resolve broader business problems, create revenue growth plans, establish financial and operating targets and determine optimal resource requirements

  • Design, develop & deliver robust and scalable reporting

  • Create and deliver impactful presentations that tell a story focused on insights, not just data

  • Remain detail-oriented while working across a wide variety of projects

Who You Are:

  • An expert in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, who enjoys solving complex and unstructured problems

  • You can simplify huge data sets, complex problem sets and extract non-obvious insights with frameworks and analyses

  • Possess a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners

  • You are personable, approachable and able to collaborate constructively with each and every person on the team and throughout the business

  • Capable of operating independently and with a remote manager -  managing relationships, deliverables and expectations with your business partners

Requirements:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree with strong academic record, preferably in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as economics, finance, or computer science; MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of work experience

  • Experience with SQL, R or Python is a strong plus.  If you don’t have these skills already, will be expected to learn on the job.

  • Superior financial modeling/Excel skills

  • You possess a demonstrable grasp of Twitter’s business model and challenges/opportunities facing the company

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; business-level fluency in Japanese and English is a requirement

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the digital ad space a plus
