Employee Relations Partner, 6-month Fixed Term

What You’ll Do 

 

You will conduct workplace investigations and guide managers and HR Business Partners to ensure fair and consistent treatment of our employees in harmony with Twitter policies. You will work closely with Employment Legal and members of Human Resources and will support the Senior ER Partners, HRBPs, and business leaders relating to performance management, employee engagement, best practices, policy interpretation, HR processes, and related workplace training. 

 

Specific duties include:

  • With support from Senior ER Partners, conduct internal U.S. and Overseas internal investigations involving workplace conflicts or allegations of policy and/or legal violations; work to ensure issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
  • Make recommendations based on assessment of trend and root cause analysis.
  • Provide interpretation of human resource policies, rules, and processes.
  • Support learning initiatives, including content development, material preparation, and/or co-facilitation of trainings on relevant subject matter (i.e. performance management, employment protocols, anti-- harassment, etc.)
  • Partner with various functions within Human Resources (i.e. Analytics, Learning and Organizational Development, Compensation, HR Operations, Diversity and Inclusion) to execute business-specific HR strategies.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure correct application and integration of policies.
  • Follow investigative protocols (i.e. gathering, preserving, documenting, and analyzing information and data relevant to reported issues).
  • Support internal projects and programs.
  • Draft, review, and update ER- and HR-related templates.
  • Maintain and protect confidential data with great discretion, judgment, and professionalism.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned, in line with the role. 

You will report to the Global Head of Employee Relations and HR Standards and HR Optimization, with day-to-day direction from Senior-most members of the Employee Relations team.

Degree or concentration in Human Resources / PHR (Professional in Human Resources) / SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification, or CHRP (Certified HR Professional) and/or continuing HR/Legal education will be considered a strong plus.  Strong preference for international experience. 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional work experience with a minimum of 3 years in an Human Resources, Employee Relations, or equivalent business-facing HR role.
  • Significant combination of formal training and/or experience in conducting workplace investigations into employee complaints/grievances.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interpretation, and application of relevant HR best-practices, employment law standards, and workplace investigative protocols.
  • Occasional travel with possible overnight stays may be required (up to 20%)
