Coordinator, Internal Communications & Culture

Who You Are:

The Twitter Employee Communications and Culture team is looking for a talented and creative coordinator to support internal comms and culture. The role is responsible for crafting compelling communications, consulting on internal messaging, and shaping the narrative.

This person will work with a variety of stakeholders in our Global Marketing, Communications, and People orgs to understand, guide and promote various happenings, news, and initiatives. The role will be responsible for shaping the brand voice and delivering powerful writing that resonates. This role will also help create unique experiences and installations.

This position is located in SF or NY. May require periodic travel.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help shape the Twitter employee experience through unique communications, experiences and events.

  • Develop and implement communication plans to support short-term and long-term internal culture and people initiatives and drive desired behaviors across the company

  • Act as the consultative communications partner to the marketing, people, and product organizations.

  • Act as the brand voice.

  • Highlight and edit the best of what’s happening on Twitter and at Twitter.

  • Work closely with the Global Communications team to identify and execute the best mix of communications channels and messaging styles to disseminate content across the company

  • Write and edit content messages

  • Manage multiple communications projects at once

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders; define their communication requirements and provide them with strategic advice and counsel

  • Develop a good understanding of the business' people goals and audiences, and translate that knowledge into clear and compelling communications

  • Measure the effectiveness of communications delivered; implement improvements

Requirements:

  • You’re a Twitter champion and cheerleader who loves the platform and all it stands for.

  • 4-6 years of work experience in journalism, comms or employee engagement.  

  • A degree in Journalism, English, or Communications are preferred

  • Brilliant verbal communication skills

  • You’re a strong writer and storyteller who can distill complex concepts, craft a compelling narrative, and build an emotional connection.  

  • You are adaptable and humble, willing to take on projects big and small.

  • Possess top-notch interpersonal skills.

  • You are a focussed, energetic and passionate self-starter.

  • Experience in writing and editing in digital and print mediums.

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, able to set own priorities, and work under deadline pressure

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to plan, create, and execute written and verbal communications

  • Dynamic, charismatic, confident communicator with proven ability to work cross-functionally, exerting influence without direct authority

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proactive, results-oriented, and fun!
